In short: TipSpark works entirely on your device. It does not collect, store, or share any personal data, and it has no internet permission.
What this app does
TipSpark is a tip calculator and bill-splitting tool. You enter a bill amount, choose a tip, and the app shows you the tip total, the overall total, and the amount owed per person.
Information we collect
None. TipSpark does not ask you to create an account, does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or storage, and does not require an internet connection to function.
Data stored on your device
To make the app convenient to use, TipSpark saves a small amount of information using Android's standard local app storage (SharedPreferences), entirely on your device:
- Your last entered bill amount and number of people
- Your last selected tip percentage and custom tip value
- Your round-total and currency symbol preferences
- Your chosen light or dark theme
This information never leaves your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is not accessible to the developer or any third party. It is automatically removed if you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
Third-party services
TipSpark does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software development kits (SDKs). No data is shared with any third party because no data is collected or transmitted in the first place.
Children's privacy
TipSpark does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from any user at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "last updated" date above.
